Start of the EP Calculation
In 1983, after traveling to West Germany, I bought my first computer. This small calculator-like device was connected to a tape drive and a printer. With this, I designed product series, because by combining program clips, I sized the products.
In those days I determined the weights from the drawings very precisely. Later, a production engineer of a company became interested in my determination of weights. He said that he checked the parts of a large product and came to the same result to the nearest 100 grams. The former is based on my accuracy reported by the narrator.
The calculations I printed on tape weren't spectacular, but they made an impression thirty years ago. At the same time, I became interested in calculation values that are based on existing known information. At that time, I still couldn't. 12 years later, I participated in an idea competition with a program based on this idea.
