 Aristotle is mentioned as the father of logic. The calculation follows the approach it presents by taking the known as a starting point and moving towards the clearer and inherently better known. Aristotle's worldview includes water, fire, air and earth, which settle in their natural place. This was a modern idea in the worldview of that time.
In ratio calculation, the idea is similar, but in a way that is applicable to today. In calculation, the value takes its natural place in the world of phenomena.
