Yang Hui's Triangle

Yang Hui's triangle is the Chinese name for Pascal's triangle.
The Chinese mathematician Yang Hui (c. 1238–1298) introduced the triangle in his works in the 13th century, but said that this was based on the work of the mathematician Jia Xian from the 11th century.

The triangle contains binomial coefficients, and is used for the same purposes as Pascal's triangle:
finding the coefficients of the binomial formula
combinatorics
studying recursive sequences
