Wall Mould Technical Description

These moulds have been in Finland over eighty years. When pouring walls there are basically two type of  wall mouldwork, single-sided and double-sided. Wall moulds in this are all steel moulds or steel moulds with plywood sheeting.

Double sided mouldwork is a more usual system, is to shutter both sides of the concrete wall, the moulds being tied each other.

Single sided mouldwork is used where only one side of the concrete wall need be shuttered since the other side is against a permanent shutter – an excavated face or an existing brick or concrete wall.

Sheeting of these form elements are made of plywood or steel sheet. All steel moulds are used when a large number of pourings or good heat conductivity needed. The erection can be carried out with any type of crane and normally employs of 3 men.
